Grade A – 4 CLEAR FACES(CF) Plus about 10% in 3 CF on the same pallet.
– Normally, 4 faces are defect-free (minimum 90%) and 3 sides are clear (maximum 10%).
It is the highest grade of product that we make. The items in this class have a consistent appearance, with no knots or red heart, allowing the beauty of the beech wood to shine through.

3FC grade – Traces of healthy red heart or a single non-penetrating knot on one side of the piece (face or edge) have no significant impact on the homogeneity and beauty of the wood, nor on the uses to be provided to this material. It should be noted that these knots do not appear on more than 10% of the total pieces in a shipment.
Mold, bug holes, and other faults resulting from processing or storage are not permitted in the ‘Grade A(4FC)’ standard.
Grade A/B – Has a red heart and healty knots (max. 10%). The healthy red heart (3CF, 2CF, 1CF) is admitted. Red hearts do not cover more than 30% to 40% of the width of the pieces. The durability, stability, and processing properties of the wood are unaffected by a healthy red heart. All of the permitted knots are non-penetrating.beech timber for sale

European Beech Steamed
Ours is Beech that has been kiln dried. It’s difficult to tell the sapwood from the heartwood. The color ranges from colorless to very pale brown, with the possibility of darkening to a pale pinkish-brown. With steaming, it can turn a darker reddish-brown color. The wood might have a dark crimson center and deeper veining. It features a straight grain with a delicate, smooth texture, as well as small little particles that are peculiar to Beech. On radial surfaces, quarter sawn, it can have an appealing broad ray figure. Beech is rather basic and consistent throughout, with only minor grain variations and flavor. A light-colored wood with a wide range of applications. Frequently used for internal door beads, skirtings, door veneers, furniture, and cabinet work. Reception desks, screens, and other office furniture are common examples.

For the majority of our goods, Wooduchoose uses Steamed European Beech S/E, or Beech. Beech skirting board, architrave, cover fillets, and mouldings are examples of products we recommend. However, this wood can be utilized for a variety of other things.
