cedar logs for sale
Cedar beams are a beautiful addition to any home. They stain beautifully, smell wonderful, and look awesome. Cedar is also a sort of lumber that comes in greater sizes, so you can get a cedar beam in lengths of up to 18 or 20 feet. These beams come from a variety of places: newly cut trees, kiln dried beams, and soaking wet beams. When acquiring a beam, well dried wood is vital, but this is sometimes not accessible in these bigger proportions. The end result is a lovely Cedar beam that twists and splits after 5-8 years and requires refinishing every 3-4 years.
Our Western Red Cedar beams and lumber bundles are handcrafted to order from the highest quality logs sourced mostly from British Columbia. Beautiful beams and timbers with a consistent tight and straight grain are produced from these remarkable logs. Our Western Red Cedar timbers are milled straight from the log, allowing us to manufacture the highest quality timbers with the least amount of wastage. Arc Wood & Timbers can create custom timber lengths up to 40 feet long.
Clear grades of Western Red Cedar Timbers and Beams are also available. Western Red Cedar Timbers and Beams are typically delivered “green” with a full, rough sawn appearance, but clear grades are also available. To provide a smooth, homogeneous look, our Cedar logs can be surfaced on all four sides (S4S).cedar logs for sale
Wood Timbers and Beams are also available in a range of sizes and diameters in Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Doug Fir, and Hemlock, as well as other soft woods, for both interior and exterior use.
Please check on availability and allow extra time for processing if you want your wood timbers kiln dried to reduce splitting and checking and ready to absorb a stain or paint.
