The Euro pallet, also known as the EUR pallet or EPAL pallet, is an interchangeable transport pallet that complies with DIN EN 13698 part 1 and can be used internationally in the Europool exchange system.
Euro pallets are the same all over the world, as they comply with the UIC (International Union of Railways) standard and, as a result, the EPAL (European Pallet Association) rules.
The pallet is sometimes known as a four-way pallet since it may be lifted and delivered from any of its four sides by a forklift or pallet truck euro pallets for sale
Pallets are employed in every aspect of international trade. Pallets are used to convey a wide range of materials and products, from food to bulk goods, all over the world. Crates can be stacked on top of them, or additional stacking frames, such as a pallet cage, can be attached.
Euro pallets are used in many production and packaging operations across the industry. There is no product accessible in a supermarket today that has not been transported on a Euro pallet at least once on its path from raw material to delivery to the food or store, emphasizing the pallet’s vastness and importance.
The Euro pallet is a multi-use pallet with standardized dimensions of 120 x 80 x 14.4 centimetres and is held together by 78 to 81 nails (L x W x H). Each pallet has a 0.96 cm2 surface area. It weighs between 20 and 24 kilograms (depending on wood moisture content).
Furthermore, the standard specifies not only the dimensions and weight of these pallets, but also the wood type, which is limited to fir, birch, or maple.
The maximum point and area loads are 1000 kg and 2000 kg, respectively. Overloading can result in damage and decreased capacity, preventing the pallet from being used in the Europool exchange system.
